Newbies – 5 Seasonal Craft Beers You Need Now

Summer’s fast becoming a memory and fall almost here – and we’ve all the right beers for the season. Plus we’ve some interesting new offerings from Victory and Alaskan Brewing that you’ll absolutely want to get your sweaty little hands on.

, Newbies – 5 Seasonal Craft Beers You Need NowSun Meet Moon (Downingtown, PA) – Victory Brewing recently released a celestial companion to their vaunted Helios Ale. Taking its name from Greek goddess of the moon Selene, Victory Selene Saison is a 7.5% ABV a wild-fermented farmhouse-style Saison that’s been brewed extra dark for a rich chocolate and roasty blend of flavors. This is a super-limited release and it’s available now, so you know what to do.

Ska Invites You To Get Crude (Durango, CO) – Ska Brewing has started rolling out their fall roster and inviting their fans “to get wild in the street,” no matter how crude. Aged in an old wine foeder for nearly two years, Ska Cru d’Etat is a tart and complex 11.5% ABV Belgian-style Ale that sports a sweet, rum-like flavor with hints of caramel and raisins and some serious alcohol heat.

, Newbies – 5 Seasonal Craft Beers You Need NowCelebrating 30 Years Of Brewing (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Brewing has released something special as part of their 30th Anniversary celebration – and it’s pretty magnificent. Aptly named to memorize the brewery and one of Juneau’s most beloved hiking trail – and reflective of the many Russian immigrants who made Alaska their new home – Alaskan Perseverance Imperial Stout is a MASSIVE 9% ABV Russian Imperial. Brewed with glacial water, birch syrup from Kahiltna Birchworks, wildflower honey, and a dash of the brewery’s world famous alder-smoked malt, this very limited release, is yet another reason to celebrate this great brewery.

A Banner Beer From The Bronx (NYC) – The Bronx Brewery has released a beer that was inspired by the brewery’s beloved borough, and the people that live there, who enjoy a great taste without pretense. Brilliantly clear-filtered, and perfectly balanced, Bronx Banner is an easy-drinking 4.8% ABV Kölsch-inspired ale. And even better, with every case sold the brewery will be donating 5% to local non-profit & partner, The New York Restoration.

, Newbies – 5 Seasonal Craft Beers You Need NowA Brewery And Magazine Collaboration (Boulder, CO) – Beer as skiing are very much a part of Colorado’s DNA. So it comes as no surprise to hear that Avery Brewing has collaborated with Freeskier Magazine on a coffee-infused hop feast that’s guaranteed to keep you primed for the slopes. Brewed with coffee provided by yet another Boulder-based fav, Ozo Coffee, Avery Pow Day IPA is a 6.3% eye-opener that’s available now in 12oz cans as well as on draft.
