Let The Hop Trials Begin! (St Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer is introducing a special experimental variety pack in July that’s super creative. Schlafly’s Hop Trial SMaSH Pack features four different takes on a 6.5% ABV Golden Ale, each one featuring a different hop variety. The Hallertau Blanc variant is floral, the Bramling Cross spicy. The Enigma hopped ale has fruitier notes, and the Eureka! hopped version way more piney. The Hop Trial variety pack is smart, fun and adventurous drinking. And it’s out there now – so you know what to do.
Never Say Never (Petaluma, CA / Chicago, IL) – Lagunitas mixes up old and new school hops with their first foray into canning, in this forth-coming July release. Bright and hoppy, light yet full-bodied, Lagunitas 12th of Never Ale is a 5.5% ABV year-round refresher scheduled to debut this month.
On Automatic (Athens, GA) – Creature Comforts Beer is returning a popular seasonal with a label designed to capture the essence of 1950’s pop culture as well as the 1940’s Chevy dealership that once occupied the brewery’s building. Pumped to the max on Mosaic and Crystal hops, Creature Comforts Automatic Pale Ale is a 5.2% ABV summertime addition that couldn’t be more on time.
Take Your Cake And Drink It (Bellaire, MI) – Short’s Brewing has returned a signature dessert beer that smells and tastes just as it’s billed. Short’s Strawberry Short’s Cake is a 5% ABV Golden Ale brewed with the addition of strawberries and milk sugar.
Two “Not Normal” Summer Seasonals (Escondido, CA) – Stone has just released two unconventional summer seasonals and we’re interested in chasing them both down, Stone Citrusy Wit is a 5.3% Witbier brewed with tangerine and kaffir lime leaf and balanced to forgo any need for the traditional fresh fruit garnish. And Stone Mocha IPA, a 9% Double IPA blurs the line between an IPA and a Stout and is brewed with cocoa, milk sugar and coffee.
