Summer’s waning and fall will be here soon – and we’ve all the right beers for the season. Plus we’ve also an interesting new offerings from Upslope and REEL ROCK that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.

Gourdian Not (Asheville, NC) – Pumpkin Ales couldn’t be more polarizing – people either love them or they dismiss them as garbage. But there are now breweries like Wicked Weed coming up with less obvious takes on the style. Wicked Weed Xibalba (pronounced she-bahl-ba) is an 8.2% ABV Pumpkin Ale that is brewed every fall with chilies, cacao nibs, and a whole host of seasonal spices.

Rock Solid (Boulder, CO) –   Upslope Brewing recently released a new collaboration that they did to celebrate REEL ROCK’s 11th film tour. Available now in a humongous 19.2 oz. can, Upslope and REEL ROCK’s Experimental Hop IPA, is exactly that, a limited edition 7.3% ABV India Pale Ale that marries the experimental with the extreme rock-climbing film tour that everybody’s talking about.

Taster’s Choice (Kansas City, MO) – Boulevard Brewing has released a new edition to their super-fun Tasting Room Series Boulevard Tasting Room Rosemary IPA is a 6% ABV India Pale Ale that’s brewed with Rosemary and inspired by a beer that Boulevard Brewmaster Steven Pauwels sampled in Chile.

Luponic Distortion Tres (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker’s Luponic Distortion Revolving Hop Series has shipped its latest variation and we’re anxious to chase one down. As always with this intriguing series, the base beer remains the same, but it also features a different hop combination every time around. Luponic Distortion 003 is a medley of nine different hops that are blended designed to echo aspects of the previous release while breaking new stylistic ground at the same time.

Got Time For Coffee? (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Brewing is passing the pumpkin beers this fall and have teamed up with Juneau-based Heritage Coffee Roasting Company to do something different. Alaskan Heritage Coffee Brown Ale is a 7% cold-weather alternative that uses an unusual technique and fresh artisan ingredients to deliver the best coffee flavor and aroma
