So many beers- So little time… Fall has arrived and with it the beers of the season – and we’ve a number of interesting new releases that you’ll want to chase down….Plus we’ve some new offerings Starr Hill and Tallgrass that sound pretty serious as well.
Hoppy Anniversary! (Crozet, VA) – Starr Hill is celebrating their “sweet sixteenth” and they’ve brewed up something super special for it. A draft-only and “very” limited release, Starr Hill Hopfetti Triple IPA is a double dry-hopped India Pale Ale that features six different hop varieties (Amarillo, Apollo, Centennial, Equinox, Sorachi Ace and Triskel) , and that’s more hop varieties than they’ve ever used in a single beer!
Tallgrass Milks It (Manhattan, KS) – Tallgrass Brewing has a year-round stout that might change your perception of “how a stout should taste.” Brewed using copious amounts of the dark-roasted barley and imbued with an awesome creaminess that comes from the special milk sugar that they use, Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Cream Stout is a 5% ABV stout that does it right. And it smartly comes in a 1 pint can.
8.5% In A Six Pack (San Diego, CA) – An AleSmith classic will now be available in an American Classic – the six pack. AleSmith IPA is an 8.5% blast of fresh piney notes and grapefruit aroma. And now thankfully it’s available in convenient “sixers” so you’ll always have some on hand – and don’t have to get out of bed, in the middle of the night to search out more.
Good Beer And A Good Cause (Chapel Hill, NC) – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Carolina Brewery will be transforming its popular Sky Blue Golden Ale to “Sky Pink Golden Ale” in support of theSusan G. Komen organization, a non-profit dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer forever. Sky Pink cans are available now in limited-edition six-packs with pink can tops – so now you can drink and do a little consciousness raising at the same time.
The Fall Pumpkin Parade Continues (Hershey, PA) – This week’s addition to the ongoing pumpkin parade came our way from the Dry Dock Brewing crew. Dry Dock Imperial Pumpkin Ale is a 9% copper-colored Pumpkin Ale that’s spiced with rare Saigon and Indonesian cinnamons, in addition to the more traditional nutmeg, ginger, allspice, mace and cloves.
