New Realm Brewing Co-Founders Carey Falcone, Bob Powers and Mitch Steele
The rumors started almost immediately after it was announced last week that that New Realm had purchased the brewing equipment from Green Flash’s failed East Coast operation…That the Atlanta-based brewery might extend its brand north and open a second brewery and taproom in Virginia Beach…And it turns out that that’s what New Realm will be doing,
Here’s the deal…
Last Friday New Realm confirmed those rampant rumors and announced that they’d partnered with The Miller Group to lease the 58,000 square-foot facility which formerly housed the Green Flash Brewing Company and that they would be opening a second brewery and taproom in Virginia Beach.

Carey Falcone, CEO and co-founder of New Realm Brewing explains the company’s decision…
“As we looked at ways to serve our growing base of New Realm fans, it was important to us that we remain a local brewer in the Southeast, expand capacity, increase innovation and stay true to our core values.
“When the opportunity came up to partner with The Miller Group to lease the Virginia Beach facility, purchase newer, high-quality brewing equipment at a great value and create jobs in Virginia Beach, we knew we needed to seize it.”

Capable of brewing 40,000 barrels annually, the New Realm’s new brewery and tasting room (which also includes outdoor a beer garden, and private event space) is expected to open once all the operational licenses and permits are approve…which could mean semi-soon or even sooner.
