August is ON…And brewers are addressing the warm weather with a variety of intriguing new beer offerings that pair brilliantly with the season.
Into The Galaxy (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing has announced the third addition to its Brewers’ Pale Ale Series, an evolving line of hop-forward offerings “brewed by brewers, for brewers.” Brewers’ Pale Ale Galaxy Hop Blend is a crisp and easy-drinking 5.3% ABV Pale Ale with BIG tropical fruit aromatics, due to the Galaxy hop’s almost cosmic amount of essential oil… the highest percentage in the industry.
Coming Up Roses (Chicago, IL) – Around the Bend Beer Co. a District Brew Yards based brewery, has something new that should pair perfectly with late-summer’s heat. Light and effervescent Ramblin’ Rose is a 5% ABV Rose’ Ale with a hibiscus flower and cranberry acidity that’s offset by mountains fresh raspberries and a touch of honey.
Mexican Standoff (Hood River, OR) – pFriem Family Brewers has returned one its most popular summer releases which takes it lead from historic Mexican brewing traditions. Brewed with rich malted barley and plenty of flaked maize, pFriem Mexican Lager is a light and crisp 4.4% ABV summertime refresher that pairs brilliantly with a simple slice of fresh lime.
Rodenbach Cans A Classic (Ridgefield, CT) – Rodenbach Brewery, one of the world’s most revered breweries is now canning a classic in the states with a complete can redesign. A blend of young and mature beer that was aged for two years in the standing oak casks, Rodenbach Classic is a 5.2% ABV Belgian Sour Ale with the perfect balance of oaky tart fruit notes and a refreshingly crisp, yet lingering finish.
Deschutes’ Profile Sours (Bend, OR) – In a departure from its more hop-forward offerings, Deschutes Brewery has announced a new Sour Series release, which was inspired by the American culinary cocktail tradition. Brewed with Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops and locally sourced berries, Deschutes Marionberry & Lavender is a 4.3% ABV American Sour Ale that is infused with Oregon Marionberry and aromatic lavender.
