New Beer Alert-Munich Lagers, Sour Wheat Ales And Milkshake IPA’s

With the days getting longer and the temps warming a bit, it’s beginning to feel more like spring…And brewers everywhere are addressing the changing season with a variety of intoxicating offerings…

Cascade Collaborates (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing is releasing a new blend this week that they did with SoCal’s Beachwood Blendery. A unique combination of wood smoke aroma and tropical fruit flavor, Cascade Tropical Embers is a sour Wheat Ale brewed with smoked malt and aged in oak barrels for up to 18 months with additions of whole pineapple and mango.

Two German Classics Get Canned! (White Plains, NY) –  Paulaner USA has announced that two of Germany’s most popular beers will soon be available in cans. Starting this spring both Paulaner Hefe-Weizen and its Original Munich Lager will now be available in the US in hefty 16.9 oz. cans. And both cans feature a fresh new look that embodies the brand’s more than 400 year-Bavarian heritage.

Shaking Things Up (Montebello, CA) – Angry Horse Brewing is launching its new Milkshake IPA Series with something we can’t wait to get our hands on. Double dry-hopped with Citra and Amarillo, Angry Horse Original Milkshake IPA is a 5.6 percent ABV, New England Style India Pale Ale with a creamy texture and milkshake-like character.

A Tart Start To May (Asheville, NC) – Highland Brewing has a new addition to it year-round portfolio scheduled for May. Inspired by the incredibly popular cocktail Aperol Spritz, Highland Slow Crush is a 5% ABV Tart Spritz Ale that is crafted using all-natural ingredients that mirror the Italian aperitif, and botanicals like gentian root, cinchona bark and hibiscus flowers.

Fits Like A Cheap Suit (San Diego, CA) – Iron Fist Brewing has introduced a new Small Batch Experiments Series, and its debut release couldn’t be more fitting. Pumped with big dried fruit overtones and earthy hop notes, Iron Fist Cheap Suit is a 5.2% ABV Golden Brown Ale that was brewed with tart cherries to keep things interesting.
