New Beer Alert: All Stout Edition

With the New Year fast approaching American craft brewers are addressing 2020 with a variety of rich and robust stouts that are cold weather-ready.

Stout Hearted Yet Sessionable (Portland, OR) – In January Ecliptic Brewing is releasing a new beer in its Seasonal Series that will be available on draft and in six-pack cans through February. Sweet and aromatic, Ecliptic Meridian Vanilla Stout is an approachable 5.2% ABV dry Irish Style Stout, brewed with real vanilla beans.

Get Willettized (Petaluma, CA) – Lagunitas Brewing has returned a much-anticipate winter collaboration that it did with Spice Island beans from Metropolis Coffee. Aged in rye oak barrels from Kentucky’s own Willett Distillery, Lagunitas Willettized Coffee Stout is a MASSIVE 12.9% ABV limited release that’s available now on draft as well as in 12oz 4-packs.

Stout Stuff At Highland Brewing (Asheville, NC) – In December Highland Brewing  introduced the first release from its Southern Nouveau Series. Aged in specially curated bourbon barrels for more than one year, Highland Barrel-aged Black Watch is a 11.5% ABV Chocolate Milk Stout with a brownie batter character and spicy bourbon and oak notes. All series beers will be released on draft and in 500-ml bottles at the brewery with extremely limited distribution of select beers as the series develops.
