Cheers To Cherries (Newport, OR) – Rogue Ales is cheering cherries with two interesting new releases that couldn’t be more different or more fun.
Rogue Cherry Choctabulous – Described by the brewery as “drinking like a cherry cordial in a bottle,” Rogue’s newest addition to its seasonal line-up is a rich and creamy 8.4% ABV Milk Stout with a big cherry aroma and flavor that quickly gives way to notes of dark chocolate.
Rogue Double Time Cherry Lime – Crafted to brighten up the cold and dreary winter days, Rogue’s second cherry-fueled release is a 9.1% ABV Imperial Berliner Weisse that tarts things up nicely with a late addition of fresh limes.
Hell Hazed Over (Downers Grove, IL) – Alter Brewing Company has added something new to its year-round lineup just for the “hell” of it. Alter Hell Hazed Over is an 8.1% ABV New England-style IPA with a hazy golden appearance and a creamy smooth mouthfeel.
Hops from Four Continents (Paso Robles, CA) – The 14th release in Firestone Walker’s Luponic Distortion IPA Series builds on hops from four continents, quadrupling down on the series’ mantra of “flavors through hops.” Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion No. 14 is a 5.9% ABV India Pale Ale that was dry hopped with a blend of seven hops from South Africa, Australia, Germany and the Pacific Northwest, all combining to produce pronounced flavors of white grape, mandarin orange and passionfruit. (Bend, OR) – As much as we appreciate Deschutes Brewery and its annual Jubelale release, we have to call bullshit on shipping a winter holiday beer two weeks before Halloween. Brewed by the brewery for 32 years Deschutes Jubelale is a 6.7% ABV Winter Warmer and if you’re craving a winter warmer even before the leaves have turned…it’s unfortunately at retail now.
