Fall is ON!  And we’ve some fun new releases that should pair smartly with the cooling weather and weekend drinking.

Cherry Oh! (Paso Robles) Firestone Walker has a new edition to its ever-evolving line of stouts that are primed for the fall. Inspired by a Bell’s Brewery classic, that’s been given a West Coast twist Firestone Walker Chocolate Cherry Stout is a 5.5% ABV limited release with subtle cherry fruit and chocolate-cocoa flavors, a dark-roasted malt complexity and rich, velvety mouthfeel.

“What sets this beer apart from our past stouts is the inclusion of cherries, which are added during the fermentation process,” said Firestone Walker Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “I was weaned on Bell’s Cherry Stout back when I was a college student. Firestone Walker’s Chocolate Cherry Stout draws inspiration from that beer while folding in some California soul.”

A Fan Favorite Gets Upgraded (Ashville, NC) – Hi-Wire Brewing has announced that one of its most popular IPAs has gotten a bit hazier. Brimming with bright citrus hop punch without all the bitterness, Hi-Wire Lo-Pitch Juicy IPA is an approachable 5.5% ABV India Pale Ale with a more juicy ambience than ever before.

And they’ve a malt-forward year-round that’s very solid. Brewed with Warrior and Nugget hops that offset a sturdy malt backbone, Sun King’s Wee Mac is a 5.3% ABV Scottish-style Ale with caramel, cocoa and hazelnut character, and rich toffee undertones.

Centennial Drinking (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing has a classic year-round that we appreciate more than ever at this time of year. Malty undertones shake hands with hop-forward character in Founders Centennial IPA, a 7.2% ABV India Pale Ale with a finish that’s never to bitter.
