Big Beer ads get a lot of attention around the Super Bowl…especially Anheuser-Busch Super Bowl commercials. And this week the world’s largest brewer debuted a funny one with Jimmy Fallon…

Michelob Ultra’s new Super Bowl commercial features Jimmy Fallon as he warms to working out, thanks to the country’s fastest growing beer brand.

Titled “Jimmy Works It Out,” the humorous 60-second spot showcases the late night TV host in full-on workout mode as he learns that fitness can in fact be fun along with professional wrestler and actor John Cena, athletes like Usain Bolt, Brooks Koepka, Kerri Walsh Jennings and Brooke Sweat and friends like The Roots

“For this commercial, Michelob Ultra was looking to cast someone who hates working out and loves drinking beer,” said Jimmy Fallon. “Luckily for me, when you Google that my name is the first thing that pops up.”

The new Super Bowl ad reinforces Michelob Ultra’s position that being active goes better with the right beer afterwards….And with only 95 calories and 2.6 carbs, Anheuser-Busch thinks that Michelob Ultra is the perfect after-workout beer.

“Michelob Ultra has always celebrated the active, balanced lifestyles of our drinkers and this year we’re showing people like Jimmy — those who may think fitness is a chore — that they don’t have to sacrifice fun to live an active lifestyle,” said Azania Andrews, Vice President of Marketing, Michelob Ultra…

“In our new campaign, people will see that working hard and enjoying themselves don’t have to be at odds with each other. We’re excited to use the Super Bowl stage to let viewers know that you can have your beer and drink it too.”

This year marks the fifth consecutive Super Bowl appearance for Michelob Ultra and is the most airtime the brand has had in the game to date.
