A Historic Texas Beer Makes An Updated Returns (Austin, TX) – After a ‘”too long” hiatus, a classic beer is returning to Texas with a tweaked recipe, image and name. Resurrected by the Pabst Brewing Company, and now being contract brewed at Oasis Texas Brewing Company in Austin, Pearl xXx, is an approachable 3.8% ABV Lager with a retro-hip ambience and plenty of Texas swagger.
“This relaunch of Pearl Beer is all about paying homage to Pearl’s deep roots while embracing the San Antonio of today,” said Daniel Crawford, who manages the Pearl brand for owner Pabst Brewing Co. “It’s exciting for us all to be a part of the rebirth of this legendary beer as well as the momentum our city is seeing.”
Smartly reimaged by Austin-based Guerilla Suit agency, Pearl’s updated design was inspired by the beer’s original characteristics, including its iconic clamshell shape and script, and given a timeless new look which both modernizes and embraces the brand’s rich history.
