While many craft beer operation struggled to stay afloat in 2023, Paulaner USA which imports several classic international beers, had an outstanding year.

, German Imports, British And Chinese Beers Soar In 2023Paulaner USA, the exclusive US importer of the popular Paulaner and Tsingtao brands has announced a record-breaking year for its core portfolio and continuing growth of its Hacker Pschorr and Fuller’s beer brands

Shipments to wholesalers for Paulaner Brand Family rose +11%, with depletions (the number of cases sold to retailers by a distributor) up +12% indicating increasing demand for the leading premium German import.

Tsingtao, the #1 Chinese imported beer in the US, saw shipments to wholesalers grow +23%, with depletions up +25%.

Hacker Pschorr shipments were +3% and depletions +2%, while the Fuller’s portfolio, paced by London Pride’s reputation as a leading English Ale, increased +10% on a shipment basis.

“The performance of our portfolio in context of the overall beer market trends in 2023 are testimony to the quality of our products, the dedication of our sales team and the commitment of our wholesalers to the strategic direction we have established for our business,” said Steve Hauser, President and CEO of Paulaner USA.

And Paulaner USA  hopes to position itself for another record-breaking year in 2024 with interesting  packaging upgrades, including large can formats for the Paulaner Münchner Lager and Tsingtao Premium Lager brands designed to grow their convenience store business, (think 7-11 and gas station stores) as well as offerings in the fast-growing non-alcoholic segment with Paulaner 0.0 Weizen-Radler and Tsingtao 0.0.
