Although hardly on the scale of AB InBev’s recent acquisition of Wicked Weed, it still speaks to craft beer’s changing landscape, and the increasing economic pressures that some breweries may find themselves experiencing in 2017.
Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) has been acquired by a Canadian Company, Red Truck Beer. And according to the Coloradoan, that Vancouver, BC-based operation has decided to phase out and discontinue the FCB brand and beers
So one of Colorado’s oldest heritage brewing names, which has been around in its current inception since 2003, has come to the end of its run.
Kinda sad… but like we’ve said, it’s going to be a rocky year.
