“A society controlled by industrial mass-produced beer is one we want no part of.” – BrewDog
BrewDog is committed to taking its Punk IPA, already a bestseller in the United Kingdom, to the next level….And they’ve been taking their renegade tactics to the streets.
Launched in 2018, BrewDog’s Punk State campaign, is setting up roadside outposts in UK city centers as well as in Barcelona, Milan and Hamburc, and have already given away 23,000 cans of brewery’s flagship Punk IPA.
And in keeping with BrewDog’s infamous bravado, they’ve promised that this year’s Punk State street actions, which has expanded to 16 cities across the continent this summer, will be bigger and better than ever.
BrewDog’s Punk State insurgence has already disrupted 5 UK cities this summer but they’re far from done…and here’s how it goes down.
On arrival, visitors to a Punk State beer barricade will receive a BrewDog passport which once stamped, will entitle them to a free Punk IPA.
In the UK, these passports will contain a coupon for an additional free pint of Punk IPA in partner pubs and bars nearby – the official Punk State after-party – as well as of lots about what BrewDog is doing.
Not suprisingly BrewDog’s co-founder James Watt is all about this summer’s renegade street actions…
“With Punk State being such a huge success last year, we really wanted to dial it up to 11 in 2019 with a bigger and better tour that not only spans the UK but key markets in Europe as well.”
“At BrewDog we always want to put our money where our mouth is and let the beer do the talking, this is why we’re bringing our flagship beer, Punk IPA, directly to the people so they can experience the craft beer revolution firsthand.”
BrewDog is taking its Punk State spirit to the streets this summer and we’ll stop writing about them when they stop doing fun stuff like this…
