BrewDog Lands At Scotland’s Edinburgh Airport

BrewDog’s third bar in the Scottish capital is a complete first for the renegade brewer in every respect.

Here’s the deal…

The latest in the brewery’s seemingly non-stop openings which now includes a location in Budapest, BrewDog recently took terminal actions and opened a new bar at Scotland’s busiest air strip, the Edinburgh Airport.

And while a craft beer bar located in a major airport is hardly an outlier in the US, it’s an idea that has been germinating in the BrewDog camp ever since they began actively expanding their brand into the states.

Located just beyond security, at the east end of the recently expanded airport terminal, BrewDog Edinburgh Airport now features 14 craft beers on tap as well as canned and bottled special releases that you can shuttle off with.

And BrewDog’s first airport bar runs on airport time. It starts serving at 4am every morning and will close after the last flight departs, so serious beer will be ALWAYS be available as long as the air hub is open.

But beer’s not the only reason to spend your airport waiting time at BrewDog’s newest venue.

In addition to coffee for the travel weary there’s a specially developed morning menu, and a lunch menu featuring loaded hot sandwiches, salads and they even offer an all-day breakfast. And like the beer, you can grab food to-go so you can eat and drink BrewDog on your flights…

C’mon does it get any better than this?Edinburgh, BrewDog Lands At Scotland’s Edinburgh Airport

BrewDog’s co-founder James Watt (a man never lost for words) doesn’t think that there’s a better alternative…

“This is a BrewDog bar like no other. Not only can we introduce more beer drinkers to the power of craft beer than ever before, but we can turn the traditional airport beer experience, into a vibrant hub of excitement and craft beer passion.”

And to sweeten things further BrewDog has let it be known that every visitor between now and the New Year will be given a raffle ticket. And on the January 1st some very lucky person will be chosen to receive free beer for a year!

So maybe think about a stopover at the Edinburgh Airport next time you travel.
