This weekend’s collection of winter holiday offerings range from tart to dark and cold weather-ready!

Guinness Spices Things Up For The Holidays (Baltimore, MD) – Based just 10 miles south of downtown Baltimore, Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House is doing exciting things. And the company’s first US brewery in more than 60 years, is celebrating the season with a special small-batch holiday release. Guinness Gingerbread Spiced Ale is a 9.3% ABV Imperial Brown Ale crafted with allspice, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg and aged in bourbon barrels.

A Christmas Eve Wake-Up Call Collaboration (Massachusetts) – Back in 2014, well before Barrel House Z founder Russ Heissner opened the Weymouth-based brewery, he took a field trip to Night Shift Brewing to get a better sense of how the industry was evolving. That trip led to friendship and an eventual beer collaboration that makes its debut on Christmas Eve… Described as a collaborative homage to the winter latte and brewed with Night Shift Coffee, Captain Brunch is a limited edition Blonde Ale with cinnamon and maple syrup.
