This weekend’s collection of winter offerings are hoppy, hazy, and cold weather-ready!
Tripling Down On The Haze Craze (Brooklyn, NY) – Knowing a good thing when it sees it, the Sixpoint Brewery is adding THREE new Hazy IPA’s to its year-round lineup that will serve as everyday staples alongside classics like Sweet Action, Bengali, Resin, and The Crisp in 2020.
Sixpoint Trail Haze is a 4% ABV, 99 calorie Hazy IPA, hopped with Southern Hemisphere favorites, Vic Secret and Enigma, as well as Mosaic, and crafted without any sweeteners or flavorings. The beer, a collaboration with the outdoor recreational co-op REI, is aggressively dry-hopped with a blend of American and Australian hops to be extremely aromatic and expressive.
Sixpoint Hootie is a 6.2% ABV India Pale Ale aggressively dry-hopped with three hops directly-sourced from farms in the Pacific Northwest and Idaho—Idaho 7, El Dorado, and Amarillo—with Australian Galaxy hops as well to boost the overall potency. It’s an everyday Hazy IPA that’s designed to be incredibly juicy and aromatic, and also very easy to drink with low bitterness.
Sixpoint Meltdown is an 8.0% ABV, Double IPA intensely hopped with Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria. This beer has a smooth, soft, hazy body meant to stay lush and juicy.
Big And Hazy (Baltimore, MD) – On January 17th, Heavy Seas Beer will unveil the first special release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2020. Brewed with acai and pomegranate, Heavy Seas Dry January is a massive 10% ABV Hazy IPA with a fruity ambience and ultra-smooth mouthfeel. Dry January’s label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Chris Gipple, of Nightshift Creative, who was also responsible for Heavy Seas’ 24 Anniversary beer label this past December.
Drink Hazy Like Crazy Haze (Ithaca, NY) – On February 6th Ithaca Beer will debut its newest core offering that will serve as a companion to the brewery’s West Coast style Flower Power IPA. Juicy, fruity and deceptively smooth, Every Day Haze IPA is a 6.6% ABV East Coast Hazy India Pale Ale, that is crafted with a dynamic combination of complex aromatic hops.
