Into The Mystic (San Francisco, CA) – Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is kicking off this summer with a brand new addition to its year-round lineup and the brewery’s first entrance into the Hazy IPA arena. Brewed with Apollo hops and then dry hopped with Bravo and Calypso, Speakeasy Mystic Haze is a 7.1% ABV New England-Style IPA with a profound herbal dankness and big pear and red apple aromatics.
A Thunderous Return (Atlanta, GA) – Last year Atlanta Brewing Co released “Thunder Thief” a Double IPA that was awarded a silver medal in the Hazy and Juicy IPA category by the US Beer Open . And now the brewery is returning the award-wining India Pale Ale with a new hop combination. Brewed this time around with a bright medley of Citra, Vic Secret, Rakau, and Kohuta hops, Thunder Chief 2 is a 9.5% ABV Double IPA with a lower level of carbonation that you might expect and a slightly crisp mouthfeel.
Baha Bound (San Diego, CA) – Green Flash Brewing, one of the pioneers when it comes to IPA’s, has gotten into the lager game with a recent seasonal release. Named with an overt nod to the Mexican beer tradition, Green Flash Baja Bound is a 5.2% ABV Lager with a spicy and bready aroma and a sweet and smooth ambience.
Sweet Virginia (Williamsburg, VA) – For the first time since opening in March of 2016, the Virginia Beer Company is adding a new recipe to its portfolio of year round offerings which was originally brewed as a small batch Workshop Series release. Kettle-soured without being overpowering acerbic, Virginia Beer’s Liquid Escape is a 4.4% ABV tart ale with lemongrass and a touch of Australian sea salt added.
