This weekend’s collection of new beer offerings are big, bold and cold-weather ready…So welcome to our first Beer Run for 2019…And it’s already shaping up to be a great year for beer.

Back By Popular Demand (Grand Rapids, MI) Founders Brewing just announced the first release of its Limited Series for 2019. More intense and slightly larger, Founders Blushing Monk is a boozier and more mature 9.2% ABV version of its raspberry heavy Rubaeus, that was fermented with a Belgian yeast strain on an “abundance” of raspberries.

From The Malt Shop (Hood River. OR) – One of the Hazy IPA’s siblings, the fruit-laden and lactose infused Milkshake-style IPA is still percolating in 2019 and Full Sail Brewing has a new one! Brewed with an abundance of oats, wheat and the all-impotent lactose milk sugar, Full Sail Malted Milkshake Style IPA is a 6.8% ABV limited release that’s available now in 12oz bottles as well as on draft.

Drinking A New Language (Japan) – Drink in a New Language, is a campaign being driven by the Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center who are championing 23 promising craft breweries in the US. And one of its fascinating imports is actually brewed with Bonito fish flakes. Straw yellow with a fluffy white head, YOHO Brewing Sorry Umami IPA is a 6.5% ABV White India Pale Ale with a savory profile and complex aromatics.beer, Beer Run – New Raspberry Exotics, Red Ales And Milkshake IPA’s

A New IPA For The New Year (Newport, OR) – Rogue Ales is heading into 2019 with a new year-round that is named after a legendary half-bat half-sasquatch creature that is said to reside in the woods on Mount St. Helens. The first hazy IPA in Rogue’s year-round lineup, Batsquatch is a 6.7% ABV Hazy, Juicy, Northeast-style (you choose) IPA with bold tropical aromas, pungent stonefruit and tangerine notes and a fruity citrus rind finish.

Red Waters (Kihei< HI) – Maui Brewing is kicking off the New Year with its first specialty release for 2019. Named after the Hawaiian word for the reddish water of rivers running through the red dirt of the islands that also happens to be the name of the New Zealand hop variety used in the beer, Waimea Red Ale is 6.5% ABV limited release with a dark fruit malt character that finishes crisp and clean.
