This weekend’s new releases are flush with timely seasonals and fall’s a great time for beer…So welcome to our latest September Beer Run …And there’s plenty we like here.
A Fan Fav Gets Phased Back In (Portland, OR) – Due to popular demand (you ask, they listen), Ecliptic Brewing will be returning a winter seasonal on occasion throughout the year. Aggressively fueled on Citra, Azacca, Mosaic, and Motueka hops, Ecliptic Phaser Hazy IPA is a 6.5% ABV New England-style India Pale Ale with a juicy, fruity ambience.
Festive (Weymouth, MA) – Barrel House Z just released a new seasonal primed for the season. Super-smooth and undeniably malt-forward, Barrel House Z Festbier is a 5.8% ABV Märzen Lager with biscuity, toasty notes and hoppy traces of earth and cedar.
A Beer To Die For (Longmont, CO) – Oskar Blues Brewing is returning a legendary seasonal with an almost cult-like following. Interweaving BIG notes of bittersweet cacao and creamy coconut, Oskar Blues Death By Coconut is an award-winning 6.5% ABV Porter that earned a silver medal at the GABF in the chocolate beer category.
Fresh And Single (Seattle, WA) – Fremont Brewing is celebrating hop harvest season and Yakima Valley’s bounty with three fresh hop beers that showcase a single hop each time. The first release will feature early harvest Centennial hops followed by Simcoe and finally Citra. Fremont’s Field to Ferment Pale Ale, which won a Silver medal at GABF in 2017, is the most extensive rotating fresh hop beer experiment in Washington. Crafting these fresh hop ales requires extensive planning and logistics to pull off…but the end products are awesome.
Brutal Brewing (Larkspur, CA) – Marin Brewing just released their first ‘take’ of an exciting new style that is credited to Kim Sturdavant, the current Brewmaster at Social Kitchen & Brewery in San Francisco, and a Marin Brewing alumni. Dom Marignon Brut IPA is a bright and uber-carbonated 7% ABV India Pale Ale with fruity flavors reminiscent of grapes and melons.
