Beer Run – New Collaborations, Winter Lagers And Triple IPA’s

This weekend’s collection of new beer offerings are big, bold and cold-weather ready…So welcome to our second Beer Run for 2019…And it’s shaping up to be a great year for beer.

Creature Comfort Celebrates Danger Mouse (Athens, GA) – Creature Comforts Beer has new limited release that’s a nod to the eclectic musician and producer Danger Mouse, who was once a radio DJ at Athens Georgia’s hyper-local WUOG. Brewed with a complex medley of Strata, Idaho 7, and Simcoe hops, Creature Comforts Mouse Mask is a 6% ABV India Pale Ale with a medium-body and a melodic mousefeel.

More Voodoo From New Belgium (Ft Collins, CO) – New Belgium Brewing is ringing in the New Year with a new Voodoo Ranger Rotating IPA Series release that showcases the brewery’s penchant for experimentation. Delicately bitter and extremely aromatic, Voodoo Ranger Liquid Paradise IPA is a 7.8% ABV India Pale Ale with huge notes of guava, mango, grapefruit and white grape.

Like Drinking Water But Not (Cape May, NJ) – Cape May has a new limited release that the brewery has correctly described as a “lupulin-laden beast.” But beastly or not, Cape May Snag & Drop is a MASSIVE 10% ABV Triple IPA that is packed to the gills with some of the brewery’s stickiest and most pungent hops.

Baywatch (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing is kicking off the new year with a special limited release made in collaboration with local nonprofit San Francisco Baykeeper, who has defended the San Francisco Bay from pollution for over 30 years.  Anchor Baykeeper IPA is a crisp and refreshing 7% ABV India Pale Ale with juicy, fruit-forward hop layers and big lime, orange zest and papaya aromatics.

The Final Snow Down (Durango, TX) – Ska Brewing has teamed up with Snowdown, Durango’s biggest winter celebration, to create a can’t miss answer to your cabin fever. Brewed to celebrate the 41st Annual Snowdown and tie in to 2019’s comic theme, Snowdown Comic Excelsior-Style Amber Lager is a 5.3% ABV special release with a welcome dry bitterness and just the right touch of noble and citrus hop aromatics.
