This weekend’s collection of new beer offerings is IPA heavy…Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
3 Wiley IPA’s Get Rooted (Greeley, CO) – Any day of the week a new IPA announcement can be a big deal, but Wiley Roots Brewing recently stirred things up when they dropped three at one time.
Wiley Roots Citradiculous is a refreshing and balanced 6% ABV New England IPA with BIG orange juice and ripe citrus notes.
Wiley Roots Key Lime County Fair Cobbler is a 6.2% ABV Milkshake Sour IPA brewed with puréed key limes, graham cracker, cinnamon, vanilla and lactose, and dry-hopped with Mandarina, Bavaria and Lemondrop hops.
Wiley Roots Juice Loop is a collaboration with Fiction Brewing…a 6.4% ABV New England IPA that combines IPA recipes from both breweries, with two experimental hops, to come up with something pretty spectacular.
Want To Get Hi? (Austin, TX) – Hi Sign Brewing is returning a beer that may (or may not) have been inspired by drunk-scootering. Brewed with copious amounts of flaked oats and softened with lactose additions, No Scooters Double IPA, a 7.9% ABV juicy/hazy India Pale Ale that’s aggressively hopped with Amarillo, Idaho 7 and dry hopped with Motueka.
You Blinked (Baltimore, MD) – On April 5th Heavy Seas Beer will soon be releasing the second Taproom Exclusive of the year from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse. Available in 16oz can 4-packs as well as on draft, Heavy Seas Sun Blink is a 4.5% ABV Raspberry Lemon Sour with striking label artwork by local Baltimore artist Owen Murphy, of One Drop Design Studio.
Illumination (Corvallis, OR) – After weeks of anticipation Block 15 Brewing has finally released the spring entry in their uber-popular Abbey Series. Brewed with a complex array of imported Belgian grains and tempered withTrappist yeast, Block 15 Illuminated is a 9% ABV Belgian-style Tripel Ale that leads rich and sweet and finishes with a crisp effervescence.
