This weekend’s collection of new beer offerings are summer concert-ready…And we’re already well into a couple of them.
Band Beer #1 – X Marks The Spot (South Burlington, VT) – Magic Hat Brewing just released a collaboration beer that they did with the American Rock band X Ambassadors. Bright with huge lemon and melon notes, Magic Hat X is a 5.6% ABV American Pale Ale that melds the spirit of a great American band with a crushable brew.
Band Beer #2 – Ska Brews A Rancid Beer (Durango, CO) – The Ska Brewing crew are massive Rancid fans and now they’re doing a beer together that will make its debut at the band’s first show in Phoenix on May 11. The featured beer throughout the summer at the 2019 Bash Music & Craft Beer Festival, (with Rancid as the headliners), Ska Brewstomper is a 5% ABV Golden Ale that’s brewed to be paired with backstage action.
Band Beer #3 – Good Life And G Collaborate (Bend, OR) – Last year musical artist G Love collaborated with GoodLife Brewing on an super-dank IPA and they are at it again. This year’s effort, The Juice IPA is a 6.8% ABV West Coast India Pale Ale laced with Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic, Centennial, Amarillo aromatics and juicy citrus notes. And this IPA is the first to be sold outside the brewery’s pubs.
Next Up At New Belgium (Fort Collins, CO) – New Belgium has a new Up Next Series release that smartly taps into the brewery’s tradition of crafting beers that reflect evolving trends in food and drink. Striking a delicate balance between sweet tropical fruit flavors and traditional beer, New Belgium Passion Fruit Kölsch is a 4.3% ABV springtime seasonal that pours bright, pale yellow with invigorating aromas of passion fruit, guava, and tropical punch.
Jolly Pumpkin Releases Its 3rd Non-Sour Beer Ever (Dexter, MI) – Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales is known for its all-sour, oak-aged beers, But last year the brewery did something that really shocked the beer world by releasing two pub-only IPA’s. And now they’ve produced a third and this IPA is available in cans. Brewed with a variety of Northwest and Michigan grown hops, Rugged Lands is a lush, hop forward India Pale Ale with BIG notes of tangerine, oranges, guavas, peaches and nectarines.
