The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s just some of what’s been happening while you were drinking your way through a “spring has sprung,” weekend.

Samuel Adams Beer Returns “Brewing The American Dream (Boston, ME) – Brewing the American Dream is the philanthropic arm of Samuel Adams aimed at providing mentorship and capital to food & beverage entrepreneurs nationwide. Each year the Brewer Experienceship program provide one craft brewer unlimited access to brewing and business resources from experts at Samuel Adams, including founder and brewer Jim Koch himself.

Last year’s recipient was the Checkerspot Brewing Company, a small-batch brewery founded by Judy and Rob Neff that crafts gluten-reduced beers at their taproom in Baltimore, Maryland. And they’ve just released a special collaboration beer, a Rye IPA that they did with Samuel Adams, to welcome applications for the 12th iteration of the Brewing & Business Experienceship Program.

Entries are now open through April 10th HERE. Select finalists will be invited to the second annual Crafting Dreams Beer Bash in New York City this summer to share their stories and beer with Samuel Adams representatives and media while drinkers can influence the next winner.

“Winning Brewing the American Dream’s Experienceship has been better than we could have ever imagined,” Judy Neff said. “The mentorship from experts across Samuel Adams and The Boston Beer Company is so valuable to a smaller brewery like Checkerspot, at a critical time in our brewery’s growth.
