Developed in London, That UltraBeer Thing is a handheld ultrasonic device that generates a massive body of microbubbles in a beer and produces a much thicker head. That’s it, it’s the one thing it does, and luckily it does that brilliantly.
And given the product’s shape and design the company also has the good sense to not take itself too seriously either.
Third Leg Studios produced a video entitled “That Mate Who’s Too Into His Beer” that hilariously skewers craft beer snobbery even as it showcases the product, and it went on to become a viral phenomenon that’s seen by more than 12 million viewers.
Created with craft beer specifically in mind, the UltraBeer Thing doesn’t come with batteries so you’ll need to pick up a couple of AAA’s before you hit the bars.
And since those batteries are supposed to last well over 30 minutes (and it only takes seconds to generate 40 KHz of ultrasound-powered microbubbles), even when you drink yourself into a stupor you’ll never want for a beer with thick foamy head.
