Beer Buzz – Revitalized Smuttynose Launches New IPA, Major Beer Writers Conference Returns!

beer, Beer Buzz – Revitalized Smuttynose Launches New IPA, Major Beer Writers Conference Returns!Yikes, June’s nearly over…and clearly the craft beer biz isn’t slowing down any time soon. But no worries, the Beer Buzz is always on the case, keeping you up on all the beer news and lifestyle that matters. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately and you don’t want to miss that!

A revitalized Smuttynose Debuts New  Beer (Hampton, NH) – New beer releases, although exciting, seldom qualify as breaking news, unless they’re from a brewery that had fallen on hard times and was auctioned off last March.

Smuttynose, now helmed by new ownership, is plotting a more vibrant future, and as part of that they’ve devised a new experimental division Smuttlabs that will be releasing its first new beer since the brewery was sold.

In addition to the brewery’s new Lady Stardust New England IPA Seacoast Online is reporting that Smuttynose fans can expect more fresh innovations, “like tropical double IPAs, raspberry milkshake beers, and hoppy goses.”

Organized by Zephyr Conferences, who recently sponsored the informative and hugely entertaining Beer Marketing & Tourism Conference in Burlington, Vermont, the Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference is a ‘Coachella’ for writers, especially for those who care about beer and the industries that have grown up around it.

Now in its 10th year, the Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference is great hang with industry players and peers. And the fact that it’s taking place this August in Loudon County, home to one of Virginia’s most vibrant craft beer scenes, doesn’t suck either.

A melding of Baja terroir and SoCal instincts, Hangar 24’s  Adventura is a crisp 4.6% ABV Mexican-style Lager brewed  with salt from the Sea of Cortez and limes that were fresh-picked in  California’s Central Valley.
