Connecticut Expands Craft Beer Sales (Hartford, CT) – On June 1st Gov. Ned Lamont signed into law “a bill that streamlines Connecticut’s liquor laws and allows craft breweries to sell more beer to customers, according to the Hartford Courant. “Prior law limited craft breweries to sales of nine liters (about one case of 12-ounce cans) per customer per day. The bill expands that limit to nine gallons, or about four cases.”

On Monday Governor Lemont took a victory lap with a ceremonial re-signing of the bill, (but this time over beer) at Tribus Beer Company in Milford, Connecticut.

Turns out Big Little Lies’ Gordon Klein character (played by Jeffrey Nordling) is written as a Buffalo, NY transplant and the beer represents his Western NY roots. Plus the Buffalo News is reporting the show’s “assistant prop master Lexi Fry (who was born and raised in Buffalo and who currently lives there with her husband and two boys) shopped some stuff in Buffalo before she came to start the show with her in Los Angeles.”

Light, crisp and uber-refreshing, Shiner Cerveza de Verano is an approachable 4.5% ABV Mexican-style Lager with a subtle, earthy flavor sweetened just a bit by agave nectar and citrus hops.
