The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s some more of what’s been happening in the beer world while you were drinking your way through a Father’s Day weekend.

Avengers Ale, Spiderman Stout? (Anaheim, CA) – According to the LA Times, the city of Anaheim, California, home to the Disneyland Resort has approved permit requests for Disney to build a Marvel-inspired theme park. And one of those approved permit requests was an allowance for a “microbrewery” as part of that future attraction.

Disney has been upgrading the its theme park drinking opportunities significantly of late, with an emphasis on craft beer in particular as well as in wine and spirits.

Disney has also announced that in 2019 it will be opening Olga’s Cantina at Disneyland in California as well as at its Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as part of its Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction. Inspired by the notoriously shady cantina in Star Wars, Olga’s will feature “creatively themed custom cocktails, and proprietary beer and wine options” according to Vinepair.

Last January Ballast Point opened a brewery, tasting room and kitchen in the Downtown Disney District at Anaheim’s Disneyland Resort. The family-friendly 7,000-sq. beer destination features a three-barrel “research and development” brewery along with a restaurant specializing in ‘New American’ cuisine and a designer outdoor beer garden.
