Christmas is just days away…but clearly the craft beer biz isn’t slowing down for the holidays. But no worries, Rumor Mill is always on the case, keeping you plugged in into all the beer news and lifestyle that matters. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately and you don’t want to miss that.

BrewDog Remains Dogged (Columbus, OH)/ Ellon Scotland) – In 2007 BrewDog was a company of three…James Watt and Martin Dickie and their pet dog. Unfortunately their beloved canine is no longer with them, but their dog friendly approach to business, beer and life still rules!

BrewDog’s New Brewery Dog Park (Ohio) – Inspired by new city legislation, that was making it increasingly difficult to find a dog-friendly place where one could enjoy a beer in public with their dog in Columbus, BrewDog decided to take matters into their hands and build their own dog park on grounds of their stateside brewery

Located just across from the brewery taproom patio and overlooking the ponds, BrewDog’s spacious new 60 x 80 dog park is now open for action. And you can even book it to host your own dog birthday party for you and your friend’s dogs, complete with a dog-friendly cake!

Words To Drink By (Redding, CT) – “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight…it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”  Mark Twain, American author

Speakeasy’s expansive brewery is also back online with much of its 60,000 barrel capacity now dedicated to the production of their acclaimed flagship beers such as Prohibition Ale and Big Daddy IPA, but also to an array of exclusive taproom-only experimental small batch beers.

Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, which has been brewing small batch beers in San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood since 1997, experienced a brief closure earlier this year which led to new ownership. The brewery also announced that they will also be making their facility available to other San Francisco brewing companies on a contract basis in 2018.

The latest from the brewery’s OneHitter Series Lagunitas Willettized Coffee Stout is a 12.6% ABV Imperial Stout that was aged to perfection in rye oak barrels from Kentucky’s Willett Distillery.
