Little Creatures Opens Brewery & Taproom In San Francisco (California) – Launched in Western Australia back in 2000, Little Creatures was one the country’s first craft beer operations to gain significant traction. With a name inspired by a Talking Head’s album, as well as the little yeast microbes so important to beer, Little Creature took off “Down Under” only to be purchased by a major Sydney-based beverage company Lion, a subsidiary of Japanese brewing giant Kirin 2012.

Little Creatures new American outpost is located in San Francisco’s trendy Mission Bay neighborhood adjacent to Oracle Park and near the planned Golden State Warriors Sports and Entertainment. Both a ‘brewlab’ and an artisan restaurant, Little Creatures Mission Bay features beers brewed exclusively on-site by Head Brewer Dennis Stewart, plus a core range of offerings imported from Australia.

, Beer Buzz: Aussie Brewery Opens American Outpost, Drunk Seagulls Wreak Havoc In The UKDrunk Seagulls Terrorize England (UK) – The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is concerned about escalating reports of drunk, vomiting seagulls that reek of beer in Great Britain. But then who wouldn’t be?

Opportunistic gulls have been seen pinching pints, guzzling glasses of wine and pecking up the last few drops of booze from discarded bottles across the UK,” according to The Sun.

Seagulls Gone Mad! DevonLive reported on one particularly disturbing incident where a team of six firefighters were called to Lyme Regis “after reports of a gull behaving erratically.” The drunken gull had already fallen off the roof when the firefighters arrived but that skirmish was just beginning! A firefighter tried catch the bird that was attempting to fly, the gull retaliated in kind. “I caught him and he threw-up all over me and he reeked of beer.”
