Encyclopedic (Portland, OR) –– Cascade Brewing has a brand new sour project release that will be available in 500ml champagne bottles and draft kegs beginning Friday, Oct. 2. Cascade Encyclopedia Botanica is an 8.7% ABV Sour Blond Ale aged in oak wine barrels for up to two years with late infusions of elderflowers, orange peel and Cascade’s own unique blend of gin botanicals. With its encyclopedic collection of seeds, berries, spices, flowers, and fruit, Cascade’s latest is a cocktail-inspired sour beer blend that according to the brewery “delivers compendium of flavors.”
Island Style (San Diego, CA) – – Coronado Brewing Company and Maui Brewing have teamed up to brew a new craft beer style, something they are calling an “Island-Style IPA.” Incorporating the tropical, juicy elements of the traditional Hazy IPA in a beer that finishes clear, bright and crisp, Coronado Tropical Tide is a 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale which deftly balances island flavors with big West Coast hoppiness.
