Drink In A New Language (Japan) – Drink in a New Language is a campaign being driven by the Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center who are championing 23 craft breweries in the US. And one of its fascinating imports is the only craft beer that we’ve ever seen that pours emerald green. With a subtle mint like character and its discernable matcha aromatics, Kizakura Kyoto Beer Matcha IPA is an 8.5% ABV Far-West style IPA that was brewed with artisan green tea.
Rogue Introduces a New IPA For The New Year (Newport, OR) – Rogue Ales is starting 2019 strong with a new year-round that is profoundly hoppy but not palate destroyingly bitter. With profound notes of tangerine and mango that are balanced by a rich malt sweetness, Rogue Outta Line is a 6.9% ABC West Coast IPA with a bracing crisp hop finish.
Empire Building (Cazenovia, NY) – In addition to its word-class production facility Empire Farm Brewery is also home to an ambitious barrel-aging program that recently debuted its first release. Aged for two years in five-year vintage Echezeaux Grand Cru Burgundy Red Wine French Oak Barrels, Empire French Kiss is a stunning mixed fermentation Imperial Stout with a bright burgundy character tempered by dark Belgian chocolate.
