Beer Alert – New Mexican Lagers, Fruit Sours And Belgian Pale Ales

Summer is coming…And American brewers everywhere are addressing things with beer you’re going to want to chase down.

Sol Survivor (Vista, CA) – Iron Fist Brewing will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with the brewery’s latest small batch experiment. Taking its name from the brewer’s Barrio Logan location, where the vibes are good and the sun is always shining, Iron Fist Sol del Barrio is a 5.5% ABV, Mexican Lager, that’s bright and refreshing – a perfect beer for the perfect day.

Get Ninja Sauced (Washington, DC) – Atlas Brew Works will be debuting its annual summer seasonal release this week and it’s VERY interesting. A perfectly calibrated balance of tropical Mosaic hops with subtle spice notes from the Belgian yeast. Atlas Ninja Sauce is a light bodied, fruity, and ever so drinkable 5.6% ABV Belgian-style Pale Ale that’s ‘not typical’ to the max.

Have it Their Way (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing has returned a collaboration that it originally did with Bruery Terreux. Brewed with Northwest Marion berries and Meyer lemon zest, Cascade One Way or Another 2017 is a 9.3% ABV tart Blonde Ale blend with citrusy notes and a bright yet dry finish.

Study Up (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has debuted a new limited release that evolved from its small-batch, experimental Scratch Series. Ruthlessly dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado, Tröegs Field Study is a textbook example of a slightly hazy IPA done right.

Schlafly Takes A Walk (Saint Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer recently released the Lunar Lager Variety Pack, a special sampler made up of four limited release lagers, brewed to commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing and they’ve a Dunkel that’s “over the moon.” Schlafly Moon Walk Dunkel is a 4.5% ABV dark, malty German lager that melds smooth malt flavor with a bracing hop finish.
