The Thing Of Nightmares (Denver, CO) –  On October 24 the River North Brewery is returning an eye-opening Halloween classic. River North Whiskey Barrel-Aged Nightmare Fuel is a 12.9% ABV Imperial Stout with BIG fresh coffee aromatics and warm roasty finish.

Partnering up with Logan House Coffee, River North Brewery blended two of Logan House Coffee’s special roasts and added it to their imperial stout. Logan House has been providing coffee for past Nightmare Fuels, so this long-term relationship isn’t new to the Denver community.

An Abomination (Portland, OR) – Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) has a new winter release that’s abominable. An almost perfect blend of caramel malts and Simcoe, Azacca, and Centennial hops, HUB Abominable Winter Ale is a 7.3% ABV cold-weather seasonal with a complex, spicy and citrusy character.

An Eye Opening Porter (Pacific City, OR) – The Pelican Brewing Company has a  dark new twist on a classic beer-style that you might want to chase down. Brewed with cacao nibs sourced directly from farmers in Tanzania, Pelican Midnight Malt is a 6% ABV Cocoa Porter with rich dark chocolate flavors, roasty aromatics and a rounded malt finish.

, Beer Alert: New Imperial Stouts And Winter AlesWillful (Petaluma, CA) – Lagunitas Brewing has returned a much-anticipated One-Hitter limited release that the brewery describes as a “barrel-aged beast.” Aged in rye oak barrels from Kentucky’s own Willett Distillery, Lagunitas Willettized Coffee Stout is a MASSIVE 12.9% ABV Stout that’s available now on draft as well as in 12oz 4-packs.

Sun King Triples Down On Caramel  Apple (Indianapolis, IN) – Sun King Brewing, one of Indiana’s largest craft breweries, was awarded more medals at the GABF than any other brewery in the competition. And the brewery has a King’s Reserve Series offering that’s perfect for the changing season.
