Sure some of you are still digging out from this week’s cross-country snowstorm but spring is nearing…And brewers are addressing this transitioning season with a variety of intoxicating offerings…
Juicy And Bone Dry (San Diego, CA) – Ballast Point Brewing has just introduced two new limited release IPAs…And they couldn’t be more different!
Ballast Point Passing Haze is an approachable 4.2% ABV Hazy IPA with huge lemon, mint and ripe guava aromatics, a soft mouthfeel, and gentle bitterness.
Ballast Point Bone-Dry Brut IPA is almost the exact opposite from the brewery’s Passing Haze, a 7% ABV India Pale Ale with a bracingly dry finish
Artful Drinking (San Diego, CA) – Coronado Brewing Company is debuting the first of its 2019 Art Series releases, a line of beers that support emerging artists by featuring a fan-submitted Instagram photos on the can’s label. With a label that features a stunning photo of the night sky over the beach by outdoor photographer Robert Drake, Coronado Cosmic Ocean is a single-hop (Mosaic) Brut IPA, a 7% ABV Brut India Pale Ale with a subtle coconut flavor bolstered by the addition of toasted rice flakes.
Brown Nose (Hood River, OR) – pFriem Family Brewers craft a great series of Flanders-Style Ales including a robust ale that East Flanders is famous for. pFriem Oud Bruin is an 8.7% ABV Flanders Brown Ale that pours dark crimson and was aged for almost two years in vats of unlined oak before bottling.
Bear Republic’s Tart Start (Sonoma County, CA) – Bear Republic Brewing has introduced a new beer that was inspired by Sonoma County’s rich history, regional landmarks and bountiful agriculture. Bear Republic Sonoma Tart is a light and refreshing fruited Sour Ale with a guava and passion fruit presence and a sweet and tart finish that lingers.
