Beer Alert- New American Pilsners, Irish Stouts And Imperial IPA’s

It’s beginning to feel more like spring…And brewers are looking to the changing season with a variety of intoxicating beer…

Master This! (Fort Bragg, CA) – North Coast Brewing has a new seasonal that fearlessly bucks the lighter beer for spring trend. North Coast Beachmaster is a 9% ABV Imperial IPA  that’s both a tribute and a companion to the brewery’s flagship, Ruedrich’s Red Seal Ale, honoring the mighty Northern Elephant Seals that frequent the Pacific coast from Mexico to Alaska.

St Patrick’s Perfect (Baltimore, MD) – 1623 Brewing is a family owned brewery that calls both Maryland and Colorado home, where owners and cousins Mike and Sandy McKelvin, and Zac Rissmiller operate each home base of the brewery— 1,623 miles apart.  And they’ve a year-round offering that you’ll need around with Saint Patrick’s Day on the way. 1623 Dry Irish Stout is a 5.75% ABV Irish-style Stout with minimal sweetness and a subtle roasted coffee character.

Lemon Made (Dallas, TX) – Lakewood Brewing has a new addition to its year-round portfolio that’s “lemon sent.” Light, bright and more times than not, just right, Lakewood Lemonale is a 4, 7% ABV Golden Ale which was brewed was twist of lemon that never overpowers.

Deschutes Goes Full-On Phonetic (Bend, OR) – Deschutes Brewing is tapping into a growing demand for light, crisp and simple with its amusingly named new lager.  Clean, lightly toasted and undeniably refreshing. Da Shoots (street for Deschutes…get it?) is a 4% ABV American Pilsner that delivers only enough buzz to keep you going.

True To Form (Portland, OR) – Breakside Brewery has a new year-round offering that’s designed to be an easy drinking, everyday beer. Awarded a Silver Medal at the recent Oregon Beer Awards, Breakside True Gold is a 5.1% ABV West Coast-style Golden Ale with a light malt character and clean finish.
