Black Tuesday Today (Placentia, CA) – Arguably The Bruery’s biggest annual release returns today. Artfully aged in special curated bourbon barrels from 13 to 16 months, Black Tuesday 2018 is a MASSIVE imperial Stout and a legend that never disappoints…
Primeval Drinking (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing has a new addition to its bottle project lineup that’s actually a precursor to the brewery’s Sang Noir Ale. Aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years along with Pacific Northwest Bing cherries and spices, Cascade Primordial Noir is a 10.5% ABV blend of imperial red ales with a bourbon to chocolate nose.
The Stuff of Nightmares (Denver, CO) – Just in time for Halloween, River North Brewery has returned “the stuff of nightmares” in two variations. An annual treat that begins the season of dark, big beers that the brewery has become known for, River North Nightmare Fuel and Barrel Aged Nightmare Fuel are both double-digit Imperial Stouts infused with three pounds per barrel of locally roasted expresso bean from Logan House Coffee.
Mocha Magic (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker is returning one of their most popular beers just in time for colder weather and longer nights. Brewed with Colombia La Granadilla coffee from Central California’s HoneyCo Coffee Roasters, and a dash of cocoa nibs added to the brewery’s signature Velvet Merlin, Firestone Walker Mocha Merlin is a 5.5% ABV Coffee Milk Stout with a creamy mouthfeel and a subtle sweetness at its finish. And it’s available this year both in 6-packs and along with three other beers (Luponic Distortion, Union Jack and Pivo) in Firestone Walker’s final seasonal mixed pack of 2018.
A Miracle Mouthfeel (Turlock, CA) – Dust Bowl Brewing’s latest release taps into an exciting stylistic India Pale Ale variation. Available now in 16 oz. cans as well as on draft, Dust Bowl Mouthful of Miracles is an 8.5% ABV Double Brut IPA with crisp hop notes with grapefruit and passionfruit up front and an uber-dry finish.
