Serious Lake Champlain Beer Drinking (Burlington, VT) – An important part of any great beer festival is its location. The beer is ALWAYS vitally important, but great beer in a spectacular setting makes things special.. For that reason alone we NEVER miss the Vermont Brewers Festival which takes place this weekend (July 20th -21st), on the shores of Lake Champlain with the Adirondack Mountains as a backdrop.
The 2018 Vermont Brewers Festival which returns for its 26th year will feature offerings from nearly 50 of the region’s most dynamic breweries including New England heavy hitters players like The Alchemist and Burlington favs like Zero Gravity and Switchback Brewing so you absolutely don’t want to miss it!
On The Big Screen – This weekend’s most interesting new movie opening tackles tough social issues with contemporary sense of humor. Directed by Carlos López Estrada, and written by Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs who also star, Blindspotting tells the story of two childhood friends in Oakland, one a convicted felon trying to get his life in order (Diggs) and the other a troublemaker (Casal), who’s probably not the best influence.
Musical Madness In The Windy City (Chicago, IL) – Celebrating its 13th year in action, the internationally acclaimed Pitchfork Music Festival, returns Union Park this weekend for three days (July 20th-23rd) of the most vital music on the planet! With more than 40 bands and artists you’re sure to find music that kills it, but you don’t want to miss Tame Impala, The War On Drugs and the reunited Fleet Foxes. ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK
ACB will be ‘spacing out’ with hops this weekend and we recently received something from Lagunitas that should help us with that. Lagunitas Super Cluster is an 8% ABV citrus fueled “blast in a glass” and we look forward to getting blasted.
