End Of The Line For Firestone Walker Proprietor’s Reserve Series (Paso Robles, CA) – Last Friday Firestone Walker dropped a mini-bombshell when they announced that they would be discontinuing their legendary Proprietor’s Reserve Series, home to three classic beers, Wookey Jack, Double Jack and Opal. “Each of these beers was forward-thinking and representative of some of our best brewing efforts, but they are now stepping aside to make room for the next generation,” explained a bittersweet David Walker.
But before you all go out and shoot yourselves, you should know that Brewmaster Matt Brynildson hinted that all was not necessarily lost. Adding that we might possibly see these titles sometime in the future either as ‘special limited releases” or as reimagined versions of the originals. So there’s that.
