Deriving its name from the scientific name for its key ingredient, humulus lupulus, AleSmith Luped In IPA is a 6.5% ABV tribute to hops with bright notes of apricots, citrus, tropical fruits and berries and an easy and drinkable finish.
It’s Magic! (Santa Barbara County, CA) – Figueroa Mountain Brewing, a family-owned brewery based in the Central Coast of California, is introducing something hazy, just in time for the warming weather. Its fourth new can release beer of 2019, Figueroa Mountain Tropical Magic is a 7.2% ABV hazy IPA that’s bursting with HUGE guava, tangerine, grapefruit and blueberry notes.
Dogfish Head Enters The Low-Cal, Low Carb Market (Milton, DE) – The success that Michelob Ultra is enjoying has led to a growing number of craft breweries producing their own variations and now even Dogfish Head is getting into the category. Described as a full-flavored, IPA with a mighty hop character that is slight in calories and carbs, Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty is a 4% ABV India Pale Ale with only 95 calories, 3.6g carbs, 1g protein and 0g fat per 12oz serving.
New And “Not An IPA” (Boone, NC) – Appalachian Mountain Brewery has a new release that they humorously claim isn’t an IPA (P.S. it’s an IPA). One of the brewery’s newest canned offerings, Not an IPA (P.S. it’s an IPA) is THE 6.7% ABV New England-style India Pale Ale that won a silver medal at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival in Denver!
Sun Set! (San Diego, CA) – Mike Hess Brewing, the 11th largest brewery in San Diego, has finally canned a beer that was originally created for the 2017 San Diego County Fair. Mike Hess Into The Sunset is a 6.5% ABV San Diego style IPA that combines malt, hops and real blood oranges for a refreshing citrus flavor burst!
