Get A Big Woody At Little Woody This Weekend (Bend, OR) – The seventh annual Little Woody Barrel-Aged Beer, Cider & Whiskey Festival returns this weekend and it’s not to be missed. Held right next to the Deschutes Historical Museum in historic downtown Bend, This two-day beerganza (Sept 1st-2nd) will feature the best oak, wine, and whiskey barrel-aged beer offerings from the region’s most exciting breweries. There will also be all beer and brewing educational programs along with endless live music and crafty artisan food offerings – so you know what to do!
On The Big Screen – Blame it on the Labor Day holiday or whatever you want, but this weekend’s new movie openings are so weak that Hollywood is reissuing an old Stephen Spielberg movie from 1977! Yes…it’s true, Stephen Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind returns to theaters across the country today, and truthfully, in a world where you can stream movies like this at home, we can’t imagine why anyone would bother to buy a ticket.
TV Time & Streaming – Amazon Prime’s steaming service pales in comparison to Netflix, but we recently started a seedy LA-based legal drama that turned into binge-worthy blast. Goliath star Billy Bob Thornton as disgraced lawyer, now an alcoholic ambulance chaser, who gets a case that could bring him a little redemption and revenge on the firm which expelled him.
