On the Big Screen – After weeks of forgettable releases there’s finally a movie that might actually be worth your time – especially if you enjoy a good scream. Directed by Fede Alvarez (who single-handedly resurrected the Evil Dead franchise), Don’t Breath stars Stephen Lang as a wealthy blind man, up against a group of small-time buglers, who soon learn that they had badly underestimated what they thought would be an easy heist.
Drink North Young Man (Ottawa, Canada) – The 5th annual Ottawa Craft Beer Festival returns to the Aberdeen Pavilion in Lansdowne Park this weekend and it’s another perfect reason for a border-crossing. The largest beer festival in Ontario, this year’s three-day beerganza (August 26th-28th) will feature some of the region’s most admired new breweries and all kinds of artisan foods.
