New Jersey Borne And Brewed (Asbury Park, NJ) – The 5th annual Asbury Park BeerFest is returns to the Jersey Shore’s Convention Hall this weekend and it’s a very decent event. 2017’s two-day three-session throwdown edition will take place at the spacious Convention Hall in Asbury Park which will afford attendees ample room to stagger around and eventually pass out. On The Big Screen – One of Hollywood’s most successful and longest running fantasy franchise comes to an end this weekend when Resident Evil: The Final Chapter debuts nationwide. Milla Jovovich returns as Alice, a post-apocalyptic warrior (and survivor) forced to battle evil corporate powers and the zombie dead their experiments have spawned.
TV Time – With half of the nation reeling from the frigid weather we can’t think of better time to hunker down with some of the Best Television Shows Of 2016. If you’ve never watched The Walking Dead –we’re pissed at you -and you’re no longer welcome here (Exit ACB). But there’s also Black Mirror on Netflix, HBO’s The Night Of and Game of Thrones. Showtime’s Homeland and The Affair have just retuned and they’re both terrific …c’mon, do we have to everything for you?
Strange Daze (Port Townsend, Washington) – The 13th annual Strange Brewfest returns to the American Legion Hall in downtown Port Townsend this weekend – and if you’ve never attended one of these – you need to take a hard look at how you’ve been living your life. This year’s two-day beerganza (Jan 27th-28th) will once again feature incredibly “strange” brews from the region’s best brewers and funk-fused music as well.
