Serious Halloween (Everywhere, USA) – With Halloween officially falling on a Monday this year, most of this year’s events are taking place this weekend…And here are some of the best places in the country to experience Halloween at its best…
The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (Weston, WV) – Having first opened its doors to patients 1864, this West Virginia asylum which was designed to house only 250 patients reached its peak of more than 2400 before it closed in 1994, due to inhumane conditions like lack of heat and convalescents kept in cages. Now home to numerous reports of paranormal activity, ghost tours are available for those brave enough to risk encounters that can’t be explained.

In 2014 Ouija, a small budget flick opened to minimal expectations and became a huge success, which leads us to its prequel which opened last weekend and is being called “horror masterpiece.” Ouija: Origin of Evil tells the story of a widowed mother and two daughters who run a bogus séance scam in Los Angeles, and unwittingly unleash real evil into their home.
TV Time – The AMC Channel celebrates every Halloween season by returning Fearfest, a non-stop horror marathon that runs frightening classics through October 31st. The only new programming that they run during this period is their zombie apocalyptic saga, The Walking Dead which is also thoroughly disturbing.
