Oh how the mighty have fallen…American Craft Beer LLC gets April 1st fooled big-time!

We love April Fools’ Day pranks here at ACB, and we’d like to think that some of our pranks we’ve pulled off in the past, (like this one or this one), were well played and hopefully fun.

And maybe some hubris (and the fact that we loved the idea) was part of the reason we totally fell for the April 1st email that we received from Ladyface Ale Companie announcing that they’d be building  a mountain top taproom (complete with a solar powered tram!) on Ladyface Mountain.

Warning signals should have gone off when Ladyface added that:

“New investors to fund this venture include the global conglomerate Moet-Hennessy, the Paris-based champagne and cognac giant that dates from 1743, and Louis Vuitton, the top-of-the-line luggage company.”

Hubris…right?

And most people wouldn’t have fallen for this detail:

“As part of the launch, LV will produce a special luxury growler bag for Ladyface, featuring the letters ‘LF’ in place of the traditional inscription with a $1395 SRP; pre-purchase orders may be placed through the online Ladyface Mercantile Store.”

But we did…

Maybe it’s because the Ladyface Ale Companie is such a classy operation that we never saw this coming, but clearly we got April fooled by our betters on Saturday…

 And we’re currently drinking to forget.
