The Thanet Branch of CAMRA is presenting its 12th annual Planet Thanet Easter Beer Festival with two days of drinking (April 14th-15th) and more than 200 Real Ales. Yesssssssssssssssssss! We Love Easter!
Organize A Craft Beer Hunt (Everywhere, USA) – Why not update that childhood Easter egg hunt tradition with something more contemporary and definably more fun? Hide a collectable stash of serious craft beer al around your compound, and make them available to visiting friends who are game enough to sniff them out. Be sure that the beers that you’ve hidden are worth your friends crawling around for – and insist that there are immediately shared and consumed upon finding.
On The Big Screen – When we think Easter we think Vin Diesel (doesn’t everybody?), and he’s returning in the latest from the Fast and Furious film series this weekend, a guilty film pleasure if ever there was one. The Fate of the Furious is the 8th addition to this immensely popular, long running franchise that’s generated billions of dollars internationally. We’d explain the plot if we thought that it mattered. Just know that there will be fast cars, explosions and hot women.
Near the Shores of Gitchee Gumee (Superior, WI) – The 19th annual Gitchee Gumee Brewfest is returning to the Wessman Arena at the University of Wisconsin- Superior this Saturday, April 15th and you need to be there for its name alone. This year’s beerganza will feature more than 100 beers from over 25 of the region’s most cutting edge brewers, so you don’t want to miss it.
THE ACB EASTER WEEKEND BEER PICK
Having already consumed more than 120 beers at this week’s Craft Brewers Conference, we’ll be commemorating things with a classic that Oskar Blues gifted us. Brewed and canned especially for this year’s CBC, Oskar Blues 20th Anniversary Party Edition of their Dale’s Pale Ale is always a pleasure.
