Beer Spas Now Big Business in US
We’ve written about beer spas in exotic places like Iceland and the Czech Republic, but now the US is home to several and they are raking in big bucks. And while beers spa’ are more of a wellness center where you can soak in hot steaming hop and barley baths than a taproom, some share that artisan vibe and a couple even serve beer.
“The first US beer spa actually opened in 2016 in Sisters, Oregon, according to New Atlas “which in hindsight might have been a few years ahead of its time as it’s since shut down. But like a bubbly, frothy phoenix rising, new treatment houses have sprung up across the country, including My Beer Spa in Orlando, Piva Beer Spa in Chicago, Oakwell Beer Spa in Denver and the tap room-spa mashup of Bierbath in Sykesville, Maryland.
