Conway’s Irish Ale
Dedicated to the grandfather of Great Lakes Brewing’s Co-founders Pat and Dan Conway’s Irish Ale is this heritage brewer’s American take on the “Irish Red” genre. Brewed a bit stronger at 6.5% ABV than the Irish tradition, Conway’s is basically Kilian’s Red, only richer and much craftier.
Cigar City Patio Tools
Cigar City’s draft-only and nitro-infused seasonal only shows up (when it shows up at all) in late February and early March. With more pronounced coffee and cocoa tones than say a Guinness standard, the strangely named Patio Tools acquits itself nicely at this time of year. And at 5% ABV, is an amazingly full-bodied Irish Dry Stout.
