The cold weather companion to their popular seasonal series,AleSmith YuleSmithis an 8.5% ABV malt-forward Imperial Red that pours deep copper and lingers like a late night fire.

Winter’s Coming (Crozet, VA) – Starr Hill has a new cold-weather seasonal rolling out that’s part of their All Access Series. Starr Hill’s Shakedown Imperial Chocolate Cherry Stout is a full-bodied 9% ABV Imperial Stout brewed using real cherry puree and bittersweet dark chocolate.

Aged for 10 months in Leopold Bros. Maryland-Style Rye Whiskey barrels and their house sour culture, Upslope Wild Christmas Ale is a Belgian-style Dubbel that’s a complex yet balanced blend of holiday spices, dark cherry caramel and whiskey-spiced oak.

Whiplashed (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing is rolling out a Catch & Release winter seasonal that took a bronze the 2014 World Beer Cup. Complemented by citrusy/piney menu of hops, SweetWater Whiplash White IPA is a 6.3% American-style Belgian Pale Ale with a nuanced aroma and subtle flavor.

Getting Warmer (San Francisco, CA) – The Anchor Brewing Company has returned a classic winter warmer that they brew with malted barley and five varieties of wheat. Introduced in 2014, Anchor Winter Wheat is a 7% ABV cold weather seasonal that’s brewed with soft red winter wheat from a local family farm.

A smart alternative to the more obvious dark winter ales, New Belgium Accumulation White IPA is a 6.2% India Pale Ale that’s brewed for warm fires and staying out of the snow.
